1. MONSTA X’ KiHyun
MONSTA X is one of the most recognized groups globally and since they have a lot of U.S promotions, it is pertinent that they learn how to speak English. While most of the members can communicate well in the English language, KiHyun is the member that fits into the theme of this article perfectly. With no known formal background or training, the idol has been able to learn and communicate in English well since their debut. During interviews that require English, he often reads and answers questions confidently, and over time we have seen him build his vocabulary to the extent of being able to communicate with complex words. 2. NCT’s HaeChan
NCT HaeChan’s English has improved considerably since his debut and many might say he is now fluent as he can hold conversations and communicates better in the language. Being amongst English-speaking members must have positively rubbed off on him as he can speak and understand slang and make jokes in English. He also confidently responds to questions in English too.
3. ATEEZ’ HongJoong
The leader of the multitalented K-Pop group, ATEEZ is also at the forefront at interviews and events where they have to speak English. He also oftentimes communicates with fans in English. The group has a lot of international fans who are often thrilled when they are able to communicate and hold fun conversations with their idols easily especially during live streams and online concerts. The rapper is self-taught and over time, he has shown great improvement in his vocabulary. Other members San, Seonghwa, and JongHo are noted to be able to also hold conversations in English too.
4. GOT7’s JinYoung
GOT7’s JinYoung vocabulary is quite impressive and he speaks with so much clarity. His grammar and structure are also quite good too as well as his pronunciation. He often responds confidently in English during the group’s North American tour and promotions, interviews, and events. He is also popular for being a polyglot as he can speak 3 languages; Japanese, Korean, and English. He expressed that he taught himself English because he wants to be able to communicate better with fans globally and also answer questions during interviews and events.
5. BTS’ RM
The idol was one of the members of his group to first learn and speak English fluently. With BTS’ successful venture into the western and global market, the need for a member who could express the group’s views effectively and efficiently came to play and RM fit right into that role. The brilliant idol famously revealed that he taught himself English by watching the U.S TV show “Friends”. At the early stages of their careers, his ability to speak English made him the spokesperson of the group especially when they were doing interviews or shows that required the language. Now all members can boldly hold conversations in English.
6. THE BOYZ SangYeon
The BOYZ SangYeon is one idol who over the years has gotten really fluent in English. He often reads and answer fans’ questions during his V-Live and chat with fellow members in English. He is also able to communicate with complex words and his pronunciation is often clear and accurate.
